Prince William and his new wife Middleton Kate have adopted an endangered baby penguin called Acorn, a British zoo revealed on Friday.

But Acorn will not be not be moving in with the royal newlyweds any time soon, Chester Zoo
He will instead remain at the zoo in north-west England with 49 other Humbolt penguins.

"Hopefully the happy couple will come and see little Acorn playing in his pool very soon," said a spokesman for the zoo, which gave the penguin to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a wedding present.

"It's a real honour to be able to boast Prince William and Kate Middleton as penguin adopters."

The zoo had asked followers on social networking sites to choose which of its 400 different species the couple should sponsor.


The Humbolt penguins, which are thought to be declining in number due to overfishing of their food and habitat loss, received more than 20 percent of the votes.

The breed is native to several South American countries including Chile, where both William and Catherine Middleton spent part of their gap years.

Prince William is back in his job as a search and rescue pilot in Wales following the couple's wedding last week.

The couple have decided to postpone their honeymoon, in a secret foreign location, until a later date. (S)

If Olivia Wilde looks like she's having a ball with her co-stars in her movies, that part's probably not an act.

"I’ve been lucky to have chemistry with my co-stars, and I really enjoy pretend kissing," Olivia Wilde, who has worked with Justin Timberlake ("Now"), Ryan Reynolds ("The Change-Up") and Daniel Craig ("Cowboys & Aliens"), tells the June issue of Glamour. "If you’re pretending to love each other, you’ve got to find something to fall in love with."

In real life, however, her romantic life has been more rocky. In February, Olivia Wilde announced that she and her Italian prince hubby Ruspoli were separating after eight years of marriage.

"It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do," says the "House M.D." star, who wed at 18. "We got engaged at Burning Man and married on a school bus. We were not conventional. I think the promise we always made was that if we are no longer happy, we won’t continue. And it got to the point where I was working 10 months of the year outside of L.A. and he was doing incredible things in other places. We were no longer partners in crime."

Wilde adds that she doesn't view the experience as a failure. "The mark of a good marriage is partnership and continuing to feel inspired by your spouse. I had that with Tao," she says. As for dating again, Olivia Wilde, who has been linked in recent months to Timberlake and Ryan Gosling, says she is open to being in another committed relationship.

Sara Rue is not a bridal monster, but she's heading down that path.

"I'm turning into a bridezilla," Sara Rue told recently in Las Vegas. "I'm not there yet, but I'm close. I was pretty cool for the first three or four months of planning, and now that we're getting closer, I'm becoming insane."

The Shedding for the Wedding star is set to wed teacher Kevin Price in May. But Rue is still uncertain about a few things, like her bridesmaid dresses.

"I have two different bridesmaid dresses. Yes, two for the day. If I don't like one color, then I have the other one. "I'm getting very detail oriented in a very O.C.D. kind of way, which is not a good thing when you can't control it."

One thing she does have under control: her weight. The Jenny Craig spokeswoman, who recently lost 50 pounds, said she's isn't planning to lose more weight before the wedding, but she's not planning to gain any, either.

"I'm just planning on maintaining and working out and being in the best shape I can be," she says. "I feel like it's a nice thing to do for your partner. It's like getting into your fighting weight or game shape or something." (S)

The Scream 4 actress Kristen Bell, who's currently engaged to Dax Shepard, told she's not planning to walk down the aisle -- ever.

"He constantly keeps me laughing: when I'm sad, mad, frustrated, annoyed. Regardless of what it is he can lighten the mood. He'll do anything that the mood requires," she gushed. "I can't get frustrated and that is a very powerful weapon. Comedy is a very powerful weapon. He's so funny that it's overwhelming."
